Weekends can be the best time of the week for some people. They can also be terible. Having bad weekends can sometimes ruin your whole next week. this was one of the worst and sorta best weekend ever.
The start of my bad weekend started on sunday. On sunday my grandpa, uncle, aunt, and I all went up to childrens hospital (intensive care) area. My baby cousin Savannah has been in there for I belive three or four days. Before she went their she was caughing really bad. Right know she is hookedup to a bunch of different machines that helped her breath and monitered constanlty. I believe when she was at home she stopped breathnig or she could not breath on her own. When I walked into that room I had this weird feeling like I have already been in a room like this before. When I saw her she had hoses going into her nose inorder o help her breath. She never pulls on the tubes because more than likely by now she knows that they help her breath. Right now the only thing she is really looking foward to when she wakes up in that hospital bed laying next to her mommy is watching her favorite tv show "Dora the Explorer". Talking about all this brings back some memories.
Even when your a visitor at a hospital it is not always one of the best things. One of the highlight was that I got to see my sweet and adorable cousin Savannah.

ReplyDeleteWhat a rough day...Your writing conveyed how frightening this situation is, and how helpless your cousin is right now, just hooked up and waiting to heal. I wish her the best!
ReplyDeletewhy thank you Mrs.Reagles an hopefully she will be getting out in 1 or 2 days so YAAAAA.
ReplyDeleteGood job with the writing. I hope your cousin heals well.
ReplyDeleteGreat writing piece. It really showed your sympathy for your poor little cousin. Hope she feels better.
ReplyDeleteI agree with every post before mine. You really show that despite the fact that Savvanah is in the Intensive Care Unit, she can still pull through. Sadly, many children in the world face the fact about their disease. Not only it Savvanah's story true, but awe-inspiring. Great job.

ReplyDeleteThank you guys for all of your support but right know she is actually out and I believe she got out on monday and ever since then she hase been doing so much better. The last time I saw er was yesterday after school whe I went to my aunts house while she was babysitting her.
ReplyDeleteI think that this is a good writing piece. There was only one thing that was wrong and that was a weird O in the middle of two words. Other than that it was great.
